A white bulb at the end of a hair is completely normal and usually just tells you which stage of the hair cycle that hair was in when it fell out.

• The white bulb is a club-shaped keratin structure, not the root itself. It means the hair was in the telogen (resting) phase when it shed.
• If you’re seeing large numbers of club hair daily with diffuse thinning, it can suggest telogen effluvium.
• In androgenetic alopecia, hairs regrow finer over time due to miniaturisation. The difference in thickness in severe cases is noticeable to the naked eye.
• In alopecia areata, bulbs may look dystrophic rather than clean and club-shaped; and the hair also gets thinner in diameter towards the end of the hair.

Not every hair loss is treated with only or and add on or remove is everything.

Minoxidil spray and Finasteride sprays are easier to use, but how do you use it correctly?

1. Use the correct bottle so that solution is not wasted. You don’t want 2/3 of the dose sprayed into the air.

2. Make sure you spray as close to the hair roots as possible.

3. The technique here is suitable for maintenance, not as a treatment (he’s not getting the correct dose).
