💛 Endometriosis Awareness Week 💛
Endometriosis is a common condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows outside the uterus and in other parts of the body.
Did you know? Nearly 1 million Australian girls, women, and those assigned female at birth will live with endometriosis at some point in their lives. The disease often begins during the teenage years.
Symptoms can vary widely and contribute to an average diagnosis delay of around 6.5 years. Common symptoms include pelvic pain that disrupts daily life around or during a period, and it may also impact fertility.
While endometriosis primarily affects the reproductive organs, it can also be found in areas surrounding the bowel and bladder, and in rare cases the skin, joints, lungs, and brain.
This week we’re helping raise awareness and support research. If you’d like to contribute, you can donate through our page here:

Every donation helps support education, advocacy, and research for those living with endometriosis.
