Whooping cough (pertussis) is more than just a bad cough — it’s a serious, highly contagious infection that can affect anyone, at any age. Australia is currently experiencing a whooping cough epidemic, making vaccination more important than ever.

For babies and children: Early protection is vital — vaccination starts in infancy and continues through school boosters.
During pregnancy: A booster during every pregnancy helps protect both mum and baby.
For adults: Immunity fades over time — boosters are recommended every 10 years.
