NDIS participants are currently helping test the new Support Needs Assessment, which will form part of the updated NDIS planning approach rolling out gradually from mid-2026.

Initial testing with participants is focusing on accessibility, clarity and participant experience, with further testing planned from March. This work will help inform how the new planning process is introduced over time.

Many participants won’t see changes for some time, and the NDIA has advised it will contact individuals directly if and when updates affect them.

We know NDIS changes can bring uncertainty. This post is to share the latest update - we’ll continue to keep you informed as more information becomes available.
