The 12-month transition period for the new NDIS support lists ended on 2 October 2025.

This means from now, if NDIS funding is used to buy something that isn’t an approved NDIS support, a debt may be raised - even for purchases under $1,500.

To help participants, the NDIA has put safeguards in place:
✅ More guidance and resources before payments are made
✅ Manual checks and contact if something looks unclear
✅ Individual circumstances considered before raising a debt
✅ Options for review, waiver, or payment plans

These changes are designed to make sure participants have the right supports.
