Our optometrists Philip Cheng, Jessica Atme and Loretta Li had an incredible time at the Orthokeratology Society of Oceania OSO 2025 Conference last weekend in Gold Coast!

With Star Wars as the conference theme, we were honoured to have the opportunity to share and learn with our colleagues from across Australia and NZ.

We shared our clinical expertise on a range of topics in OrthoK and myopia management, including spectacle lenses for myopia control, OrthoK fitting, myopia monitoring with axial length, low-level red light therapy (RLRL), and practice management.

After this memorable weekend we bring new knowledge back to our Melbourne clinic to continue advancing our world-class, evidence-based myopia care.

One of the endearing aspects of myopia management and paediatric eye care is seeing the kids grow up. Claudia first came to see us when she was just 2 years old and getting her first pair of glasses for myopia. At age 4 she became our youngest OrthoK patient, enjoying clarity of vision without glasses starting primary school. In almost the blink of an eye she’s now almost 10, wearing her OrthoK lenses every night and her myopia well managed. Changing kids’ lives is such a rewarding part of what we do in our clinic, everyday. ❤️
