Comber Optometrist Independent family owned optometrist operating in Kiama since 1977. Joan Comber began her career in George Street, Sydney, before relocating to the south coast.

Graduating with a Masters Degree in Optometry from UNSW, she has been practising for over 30 years in the field. Together with her husband Arthur and sons, they provide a high quality eyewear service to the region, priding themselves on their ongoing relationships with both new and long term clients, many of whom drop in daily just for a chat. The new eyewear boutique is set up to be casual, not clinical, hosting brands such as Ray Ban, Moscot, Carrera, Ted Baker, Oroton, Vogue, Tom Ford, Gucci and many more, with all lens grinding and fitting done in the onsite workshop. All eye tests are bulk billed through Medicare, with electronic fund claiming and retinal photography available. Feel free to drop in, or make an appointment today.

End of an Era, Joan is retiring!

You might have seen the article in the bugle, after 47 years in Kiama, Joan is finally ready to retire at the end of the month.

Come join us til June 30, celebrating a massive career with an eye exam and a last pair of comber optom specs!

We’ll be open all this week, +late Thursday 25 and Friday 26 with music from Brendon ane Clay, and maybe a few treats and champagnes!
