How hard is it when you cannot get into your favourite therapist to sort you out?
Maybe you cannot find a therapist who makes you feel better?

Frozen shoulders, sciatic pain, stiff neck, lower back pain... you can learn how to release these issues yourself, which is way better than pushing through because you can't afford an appointment, or you can't get one.

Part of releasing these tensions is also learning how you move, and then refining your motion so that tensions do not build up anymore.

Group classes are in Kilkivan, max. 6 people, $25 each

Even better, you should be moving in a way that is releasing tension with every step, making tweaking your back impossible... even when an 80kg pig starts a street fight with you.

THREE STEPS is enough to unravel a tweak, if you know how to respect your Range of Motion, which is one of 3 Pillars of Maia Movement.

Your body should be soft, maleable to the environment around you and response-able to your nervous system... you should be springy and able to absorb impact, like a pig knocking you onto your back, sure you will get a big graze where it railed you into the gravel road, but you will be bruised but fine.

Your muscles should all rest at neutral, so when you need your strenghth to push this beast off you, you not only shift it's weight, you also pop off the ground with a speed that your mind needs to catch up to.

I question whether what I am guiding people with is relevant, and the pig street fighting me was proof that I have speed, agility and strenght when needed, without any training, my bones did not suffer and I hit the ground hard.

This state vibrates into my energetics, and gives me solid boundaries, more like a water balloon than a bubble.

Group classes are a little more general, if you have specific problems you want to stop having, book a private session for an hour… or book 2 hours and make yourself feel better then get a one hour massage!!! Pure bliss!

Adding more tension, holding it and counting your breath is masking what is happening, undermining your nervous system and creating another issue.

Holding tension to force a release simply distracts you, and since you have gone to war with your internal state, you get the faux benefits of the pain killing and feel good effect linked to the fight flight nervous system flow.

But You can't just do nothing... You want Your Breath to be able to move freely through your soft tissues like an open ocean swell, which requires a release of the tension no longer working for you.

Maia Movement is about you learning to feel how your breath moves you, which gives you full knowledge of your nervous system and any organs or body parts that are degenerating or dysfunctioning, as well as any energetic (emotional/mental/spiritual) situations.

It is not easy getting beyond breathwork or releasing the highs and lows of nervous system regulation, it requires True Discipline for you to remain present with what you can feel in every step and every breath.

You need more of you, not more to do.

Your soft tissue, breath and bones are how you and I will communicate.
Your expression or performance, your biology, your genetics, your identity, your diagnosis, your training or practices or your nervous system; are not what bring you into balance.

Feeling physically safe within your own skin, will give your nervous system freedom to release the tensions that are pulling you out of balance.

Tensions cause pain, organ dysfunction, a racing mind, emotional instability, irritability, fear, anxiety, exhaustion.

You are not aware you are holding tensions unnecessarily, they are survival states that numb you and that you are numb to, even if you are experiencing pain.
