Our K-Life Staff Housing project was featured in Warwick Stanthorpe Today this week, following the official sod-turning in Killarney. This project will deliver six new accommodation units to help attract and retain aged care staff in our region.

🚑 First Aid & CPR Training – Hosted by K-Life

K-Life is hosting First Aid and CPR Training on Wednesday 15 April in the Cedar Room, and members of the community are invited to take part.

These nationally recognised courses give you practical skills and confidence to respond in an emergency. It’s one of those skills you hope you never need, but you’ll be glad you have.

🫀 HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
1:30pm – 2:30pm
Includes online pre-course learning

⛑ HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
2:30pm – 4:30pm

K-Life is currently looking for a Community Care Coordinator to join our team in Killarney. If you’re passionate about supporting people and making a real difference in the community, this could be a great opportunity.

This role involves coordinating care for clients across NDIS, Support At Home, and community programs, while supporting a dedicated frontline team and helping people live well in their own homes.

💼 Position: Community Care Coordinator
📍 Location: Killarney, Toowoomba & Darling Downs
💰 Pay: Approximately $38–$42 per hour with not-for-profit salary packaging benefits

International Women’s Day is a time for people across the world to stand together and speak up for equality, because women’s rights are human rights.

This day celebrates the achievements of women in every part of life – social, cultural, economic and political. It honours the women who came before us, the women standing beside us today, and the girls who will lead the future.

The 2026 United Nations theme is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.” It’s a reminder that while progress has been made, the work toward true equality continues.

More than 100 years ago, women marched for fair pay, safe working conditions and the right to vote. Today we celebrate how far we’ve come, while recognising there is still more to do.

Here’s to strong women.
May we know them.
May we be them.
May we raise them.

Today marks an important step forward for our community.

We’re proud to officially begin the K-Life Staff Accommodation Project in Killarney — a project designed to support the people who care for our older community members every day.

By creating dedicated housing for aged care workers, we’re helping remove one of the biggest barriers to recruiting and keeping skilled staff in regional areas. It’s a practical investment in the future of aged care in our region.

At K-Life, we believe strong communities are built when people support one another. This project reflects that commitment and helps ensure older Australians can continue to receive quality care close to home.

There’s plenty of work ahead, but today we celebrate the beginning.
