Sharlene has been a counsellor since 2009. She has spent a great deal of time helping children and adolesents with complex needs within the education sector, family relationship counselling, she was part of the Raise program and a member of a pannel for su***de prevention. Now moving into private practice she hopes to help her clients find their ‘best selves’ and develop confidence and skills to work through conflict and the challenges of life.

My practice is evidence-based and patient-centred, combining task-specific training with techniques like aquatic therapy to support recovery and independence. I’m also qualified to prescribe mobility and rehabilitation equipment, including wheelchairs. Following a thorough respiratory assessment, I can also prescribe the cough assist device (mechanical insufflation-exsufflation - MI-E) , which supports people with neurological conditions and those who have difficulty clearing sputum
