I am a quiet, clean living, non-smoker/drinker based in Kingscliff. A former homeowner for many years I will respect and appreciate yours. A house sitter since 2012 but new to using websites to tell the world. I work part-time in alternative therapies and Aged Care as a Support Worker. I study and write so find house sitting a peaceful way to have space for these. I am available to care for homes from Pottsville to Tweed and inland as far as Murwillumbah. I'm more than happy to walk your dog, cuddle your cat, feed your fish or talk to your chooks. I have experience with pets from the very social to the shy, nervous, needy and slightly older. I have looked after fur-babies, properties, plants and gardens in the suburbs and the countryside of Australia and NZ. If you are you worried about leaving older family members at home while you go away I can offer support and assistance. With qualifications and longstanding experience in aged care/disability, your family member will be well cared for. I have a police clearance, blue card, first aid certificate and references from satisfied home owners you can contact. I will carefully attend to your home, pets and senior family members. Hi Everyone
I know it’s been awhile since I posted. I’ve been happily well booked and looking after lots of lovely furbabies.
I currently have spots available from November.
I no longer “work from home” that has changed so somedays I will be out in the real world at my part time job.
So if your pet has special needs or anxiously requires someone there 24/7 I am unable to do that.
If though your pets are used to you being out sometimes I can help.
I will take good care of your pets, your home, water the gardens, take out the bins and check your mailbox. Text or message me with your enquiries.

Some information for all of you dog loving people that this common plant can be horribly toxic to your fur babies.

I had a seizuring dog in this week who is now home and happy. Had excitation of muscles and tremors extending for 24 hours requiring heavy sedation. This plant wasn’t in their yard but was a reminder that there are many things in the home environment that can cause problems. This is Brunfelsia. Also known as yesterday-today-tomorrow or morning noon and night or Kiss Me Quick. It is really common in gardens in south-east Queensland.
It’s flowers and fruiting bodies in particular if eaten by dogs cause diarrhoea, excitation and seizures. Any part of the plant can cause trouble but flowers and berries are the most likely two eaten. Like most of these seizure inducing toxins like macadamia nuts mushrooms fungal toxins and snail bait the treatment is symptomatic. Flushing the stomach activated charcoal, high dose Intravenous fluids to support organ function and enough sedation or prolonged general anaesthetic to control seizures until the toxin wears off.
