There is nothing pretty about hard work and dedication, but there is a lot that is pretty about the success that comes from that.

There is nothing attractive about sacrifice in the short term for the long-term gain, but there is a lot there is attractive about what comes from doing those things.

There is nothing enticing about the stress that comes from constantly keeping up with what you need to be doing on a daily and weekly basis, but there is a lot that is enticing when it comes to positive things that come from doing these things.

You can either choose the short term hard involved with discipline and sacrifice, or you can choose the long-term hard involved with doing nothing today.

When we look at fat loss it isn’t always about calories in versus calories out.

I have spent countless years, counting and tracking my calories and saw minimal changes in my performance, physique, and energy levels.

It wasn’t until I managed my gut health and inflammation levels that I was actually able to see more benefits from the way in which I was consuming my food and tracking my calories.

I have taken this approach with all of my clients and it is a big reason why they are able to see better results and have their body a response in a much more positive way to the nutrition plan that is set up for them.

I am a firm believer in HEALTH first & BODY COMPOSITION second.

The amount of coaches that simply say that it is all about calories, and things like gut health, inflammation, cortisol, and any other type of stress management is just a simple way for somebody to make money, is missing a huge piece of the puzzle when it comes to the health and well-being as well as the longevity of their clients.

Many of us claim to be busy, but in reality, many of us just a manage our time well.

If you are willing to stop exercising because of the reason of being busy, when you are letting your body slowly deteriorate because you do not know how to manage your time well enough to get at least two hours of exercise in per week.

The return on the investment for your health through doing two hours of exercise per week is greater than any other form of investment that I have ever seen in any other context.

You must stop with a mindset of I will do it later. Because when later comes around, it’s unfortunately too late.

Distractions are everywhere. Your phone is the biggest one.

You walk into the gym, you’re between sets, and instead of recovering, you’re scrolling Instagram. What you don’t realise is you’re shifting your focus completely away from what you’re there to do. Your mind is no longer on your training. Your body follows that.

Even worse… it actually down regulates your nervous system. You go from being switched on and ready to perform, to being passive, distracted, and flat. That means less intensity, weaker lifts, slower progress.

The gym isn’t the place to disconnect from your session. It’s the place to lock in. Be present with what you’re doing. Treat every set like it matters.

Because it does.

Getting lean does not have to be something that is seen as difficult where you must be restrictive with everything that you do.

It’s actually one of the things that is pretty easy to do, once you understand how simple the approach needs to be.

Firstly, you need to understand that there must be change that occurs.

Secondly, you need to understand what that change actually entails.

Thirdly, you then need to ensure that you put together a consistent plan that requires you to show at least 80% compliance with everything that must be done.

9/10 people fail at this point (AND THEY HAVEN’T EVEN STARTED THEIR JOURNEY YET!)

One of the things that we do at Platinum Training Academy is ensure that we sit down with our clients and understand what their life is actually like.

We do this because we need to ensure that the plan that we integrate into their lifestyle is something that is going to allow them to be able to stay consistent with as well as see the changes that they want to see and learn how to maintain them as well.

This is where the value of coaching is something that I feel is absolutely amazing and underrated.
