We celebrated in style last week, capping off our Huon River excursion with a BBQ lunch! 🥂

Students from Kingston High School Tasmania and Woodbridge School, including the wonderful kids of some of our staff, came along to run the grills 🌭 it was lovely to welcome many of our community to join us, including hosting residents from Barossa Park Lodge Glenorchy, OneCare.

🏈AFL Grand Final fever swept Bishop Davies last week!🦁🐈‍⬛

Our celebrations included a footy tipping luncheon to wrap up our competition for the season. The winners were 🥇Lloyd, 🥈Brendon and 🥉June.

It was an extra special day for June, with her grandson Jaspa playing in his second consecutive premiership for the Lions!

We love an op shop outing! 🛍️

Last week we headed to Hobart City Mission Op Shops to browse the racks and take home some bargains. It's like a treasure hunt, easy on the wallet, and stops clothing going to landfill. A win-win! 🌿

🎭We had a great session yesterday with Terrapin theatre, who brought their magical 'Forever Young' program for some one-on-one interactions with residents! 👒

Forever Young is a form of art therapy, backed by research into how creative processes can evoke memories, encourage communication and strengthen relationships for people in aged and dementia care.

After receiving so many wonderful comments from our residents about the colourful scrub tops and t-shirts our staff wore during the Christmas period, we knew we had to make it a regular thing! 👩‍⚕️🎄

Now every Friday, our amazing team can swap their regular uniforms for fun and colourful scrubs, and the response has been incredible! ❤️💛🩷💚💜🧡💙

Our residents absolutely love the bright colours and cheerful designs, becoming a highlight of everyone's week! 😄😁

It's amazing how something as simple as adding a splash of colour can bring so much joy and create connections between our residents and staff. 🤗🥰
