A big thanks to Dr Mike Noonan and the faculty of the The Alfred’s Procedures Course. This 2 day event teaches invaluable and life saving emergency procedural skills for doctors.

Our communities benefit from this teaching in ways we hope they will never know.

A Special Trainee at the Clinic - Floyd 🐾

Many of you may have met our newest little helper – Dr Hooper’s service dog in training, who has been joining us at the clinic as part of his ongoing education with Adelaide K9 Services.

Service dogs play an incredible role in supporting people with medical, physical, and emotional needs. Part of their training includes getting comfortable in busy environments like ours, so they can learn to stay calm, focused, and ready to help.

We kindly remind everyone that while he is totally adorable, he’s working, so please resist the urge to pat or distract him. Your support helps him succeed! Thanks for being apart of his journey!

Today is Day - a powerful reminder that a simple conversation can change a life.

Step 1: If you’re concerned about someone, start by asking, “Are you OK?”
Step 2: Really listen to their response
Step 3: Encourage them to take action and let them know you’re there to help
Step 4: Follow up with them later to see how they’re doing
Knowing what to say next matters - especially if someone says, “No, I’m not OK.”

A Sweet Send-Off! 🩺🍰

Today, we were treated to a delicious surprise from one of our incredible medical students — a beautifully baked cake to celebrate the end of their placement with us! 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️
Not only was it delicious, but it was such a thoughtful gesture that truly touched our team. It’s been a pleasure having Anushrii with us, and we’re so grateful that she has enjoyed her time here.
