In addition to training for the TCS NYC Marathon, the Squad will participate in a series of milestone event runs throughout the year and complete education components including in Indigenous Leadership and Health Promotion, Sports First Aid, and Level 1 Run Coaching before final selection into the NYC Squad.
Keep an eye on our socials as we share their individual profiles with you as our 2024 IMP Squad reflect on their ‘why’ and their purpose.
A huge congratulations to everyone that applied for IMP this year and attended a physical or virtual try-out. This year we had a record number of IMP applicants with over 180 young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples applying to take on the IMP challenge. Submitting your IMP application is a huge accomplishment, and we recognise your courage and leadership in sharing a part of your story and applying for the IMP. We encourage you to apply again in 2025 if you are eligible, and to stay connected with us.
