Helping toileting feel simple, predictable, and a little more fun 🚽✨

This visual toileting prompt encourages children to sit on the toilet and count to 20 before hopping off. It can be a helpful way to build routine, reduce pressure, and support toilet training by giving children a clear and achievable expectation for how long to stay seated.

Great for use at home, in early learning settings, or as part of a consistent toileting routine. Sometimes small visuals like this can make a big difference in building confidence and independence. πŸ’™

A fun and productive day in the Day Program today! 🌱✨
We checked on the crystals the group had started growing during this weeks science activity, and they worked !
The participants were excited to see how much they had formed. We all used the sprouts we planted last week to make marmite and sprout sandwiches, along with some classic dairy bread for morning tea. Even better news - our sunflower has officially sprouted too ! 🌻
To finish the day, everyone enjoyed an indoor fishing activity, practicing patience, coordination, and a few friendly competitions. Another great day of learning, creativity, and hands-on fun! 🎣

🎨 Behind the scenes at the Day Program Hub!

Our talented support worker Talia has been busy bringing some colour and creativity into the space by painting a beautiful mural for everyone to enjoy. The participants have loved watching the artwork come to life, and it’s already making the hub feel even more welcoming and inspiring.

Spaces that feel vibrant, creative, and inviting can make a big difference in supporting wellbeing and encouraging self-expression. We can’t wait to see the finished masterpiece! πŸ’™

Participants also left behind some decorated rocks for visitors to find, spreading a little surprise and creativity throughout the park 🎨πŸͺ¨
Back at our hub, we finished the day with a simple and tasty lunch - mini hotdogs made together by the group 🌭

🌈 Free Emotions Escalation Scale – Now Available!

Understanding emotions is the first step toward supporting regulation πŸ’›

This visual emotions scale is designed to help children, teens, and adults identify where they are emotionally β€” from calm and connected (green) through to overwhelm or intense distress (orange/red).

πŸ’‘ How to use this resource:
β€’ Display it in a classroom, therapy room, home, or support environment
β€’ Encourage the person to point to or name the colour that matches how they feel
β€’ Use it as a daily check-in tool (β€œWhere are you right now?”)
