Hi Deception Bay residents, we are a family owned and operated NDIS support service based locally in Logan. We are an employer staff love working for because we treat everyone with respect.

We are seeking new staff to join us supporting a local young man in Deception bay who is very fun loving and loves his pets. Shifts are 8 hours on a rotating 24/7 roster including sleepover and immediate starts are available. Company vehicle onsite for community access outings.

Applicants should be qualified with a minimum of Certificate 3 in disability support, aged care or similar. NDIS worker clearance, Current First Aid/CPR is a must before starting.

This is definitely an issue for young school leavers

For many autistic young people, finishing school doesn’t bring opportunity, it brings uncertainty. Too often there is no clear path to work, and families are left trying to fill the gaps.

The NDIA’s 6th Provider Quarterly Report on School Leaver Employment reveals that despite years of programs, employment outcomes remain poor. Transition support comes too late, work experience is scarce, and employers are not given the tools they need to include autistic workers. Unless customised employment and discovery are properly funded across the NDIS, schools, training and employment services, young people will keep leaving school into exclusion rather than opportunity.

The National Autism Strategy represents a chance to change this. We cannot keep letting autistic young people fall through the cracks just as their adult lives are beginning.

It’s times like this that I feel blessed to have found my true calling. We recently had a long fought win with the NDIS after battling for almost two years we finally won the correct level of funding for one of our clients and she will now be fully supported as she should be. I am so grateful to all of our hard working support workers and my awesome wife and business partner. Also to her amazing mum and extended family and all of the other stakeholders that stayed true to the cause…we finally won!!!

We are very excited to announce that we are moving our head office to a great new location where we can offer our services to a larger community. We will have a great new property with a SIL house, a respite cottage, a new head office, a woodworking and craft workshop, cooking classes, gardening classes and a brand new music studio for music fun and pod casts. Marty & Echo our resident Alpacas, will also be joining us. Stay tuned for more information soon.
