✨ Meet the Team - Tegan ✨

I have been an OT for 7 years now, and I've been at TWTC for 3 years. From my very first paediatric placement while I was at uni, I was sold on paeds and haven’t looked back since! 😀

When I'm not at work you'll find me doing so many thing - I’ve never met a hobby I don’t like 😂 But whatever it is, I’m normally doing it with family, friends and with my two doggos by my side. 🐾

What I’ve always loved about OT is how working with kids keeps me fully in the moment, not many jobs do that. There’s something genuinely special about watching a kiddo achieve something for the very first time. And the best part is I get to experience it all alongside my best mates (I know it sounds cliché, but I swear no one made me say that)!!

Last week we celebrated and said farewell to our wonderful Speechie Megan! 😀Megan has supported many children and families to grow and thrive during her time with the clinic, and we thank her for all of her efforts. We wish Megan all the best on her new overseas adventure 🌎✈️

- Experience or interest in disability support and mental health
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (desirable)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Driver’s license and reliable transport

I have recently re-joined the team at Willow Tree, however, have over 20 years of admin, case management and office experience! 👩‍💻

I love being involved in allied health, seeing our clients kicking their goals and working with a team of passionate people. I enjoy organising things and managing logistics behind the scenes to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. 📝

When I'm not at work, you'll find me binge watching a good thriller series, listening to a good true crime podcast, spending time with my family. My secret addiction is – I love collecting earrings!!

After having a little break away from working with the team - I am so excited to be back. TWTC are an amazing team of individuals, and I am so proud to say that I am part of this fabulous group of talented people 😀

✨ Last month, our Speech Pathologist Abbey had the privilege of joining a national panel with The University of Newcastle! ✨

Speech pathology students had the chance to ask questions and gain real-world insights into life as a speechie — from building authentic connections to embracing play-based approaches.

Abbey also delivered a presentation on Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice, exploring how we can support communication in ways that celebrate each individual’s identity, strengths, and voice.

We’re so proud of Abbey for sharing her knowledge and passion with the next generation of speechies!

We have a few spots remaining in our Primary Nintendo Switch Group, running fortnightly on Mondays 3:30-4:30pm 🎮🎮

This fun and supportive group uses gaming to help kids build social skills, emotional regulation, teamwork, and communication, all while doing something they love!
