Ayurveda explains that when we are creating a meal we should aim to add the 6 tastes in order to balance the five elements in our body keeping us balanced.

Portions will vary depending on your individual constitution.

The 6 tastes are:

Sweet (Earth and Water)
Sour (Earth and Fire)
Salty (Water and Fire)
Bitter ( Air and Ether)
Pungent (Fire and Air)

We can play with these flavours through herbs 🌿 different veggies, tumeric (butter) ginger, chilli (pungent) and lemon(sour) etc. to create a balanced meal 🙏🏻🌺

What I love about Yoga and what I aim to create space for as a teacher is the opportunity for you to begin an intimate journey with your body. What does this mean ?

Our bodies are constantly sending us very intelligent messages through feeling, thought and sensation. We often disregard how our breath, lifestyle, food habits and environments play an integral role to the state of our being.

If we are constantly feeling anxious, our body is telling us something quite significant. When we practice yoga, we have the time and space to slow down and tune in to these subtle whispers of the body… answers will arrive naturally & effortlessly with time.

One of the biggest principles of Ayurveda is that we ACTUALLY ALREADY KNOW WHAT WE NEED. There is just sooo much clouding that wisdom and body intelligence from our conditionings of the past that it isn’t always in the light.

We also may already know what we need BUT lack the courage, focus and tapas to overcome and achieve those things. Yoga is a method to strengthen our true nature- our true deepest needs.

So practice when you’re joyous , practice when you’re sad, practice when you’re confused, practice when you’re comforted. Each time listen deeply and learn from your Soul, body and mind. Because after all they are your greatest teachers 💜🌺💛

There is a kind of ‘flow state’ that happens when the left and right hemisphere of the brain activate simultaneously.

This is where we loose a sense of time and become fully absorbed in what we are doing.

Playing instruments, dancing or any activity that requires our full attention can help us to enter this state.

It is a moment to moment, effortless state. In yoga we call it Dharana. ✨undivided attention all with a sense of fulfilment.

We don’t have to be the best singers dancers or painter planter or athletes to receive the benefits. We just have to do it ! 💜✨

A beautiful life is not always lucky. It is a journey of self realisation and authentic gratitude. It is in this that we live to love others and life itself… that we offer devotion through action in how we show up to live and love. 🌺

I’ve been a little quiet here on this page 🤗 but I’ve been a bit busy growing this little bean inside my belly! 🥹💗 I can already feel the sweetness of bubba and I’m enjoying taking things slow to soak in all the magical moments 🫶🏼
ridge and I have talked about this dream for a longgg time and we are sooo unbelievably excited for this new chapter in our lives! I feel so lucky and incredibly blessed 💗

I am still teaching classes. Mon & Wed 9.30am at CWA Kuranda. (Monday from Sept 1st) 🙌🏼🌸

I have released 6 different online classes available to anyone in the world 🌎

For the month of August, all funds from classes purchased will be donated to a family struggling in Gaza that I am in direct contact with.

This is a family of 3 brothers who have already lost their youngest sibling from a bomb fire.

Currently the cost of flour is $50 per kilo. So to keep these brothers fed costs 100s-1000s of dollars a week. I wish I could support them on my own. But it really will take a community to help 💜

These brothers like many others are surviving day by day. If you feel to contribute you can purchase my online classes. If you want to contribute more- please inbox me.

Donating through organisations is not always the most efficient way. So if you have wanted to donate to the crisis this is a great opportunity. ❤️

100% of my online income will be donated to a family in Gaza that I am in direct contact with !!

From today until to the end of August everything will be donated to help this family struggling with famine and safety.

Many of us have been feeling powerless and angered over what we are witnessing. Civilians trying to get to food banks are loosing their lives because it’s so unsafe. This is a rare opportunity to actually support a family and their community and have ALL the money go directly into their account asap. 🙏🏻
