Today, OASES Community Carers proudly supports World Hearing Day, raising awareness about the importance of ear and hearing care for everyone.

Hearing health plays a vital role in communication, connection, independence, and overall wellbeing — especially for people living with disability. Early checks, prevention, and access to the right supports can make a life-changing difference.

As an NDIS provider, we are committed to supporting participants to access the services, therapies, and assistive technologies they need to stay connected and thrive. 💙

Let’s work together to break down barriers and promote inclusive communication for all.

World Hearing Day is today, and this year’s theme “From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children” is shining a spotlight on the critical role hearing plays in every stage of a child’s life.

Let’s work together to raise awareness of the importance of hearing care and seeing an Audiologist. ✨

Thank you to Melisha Sirisena, Audiology Australia Accredited Audiologist, for sharing your thoughts on World Hearing Day.

Today we celebrate International Wheelchair Day ♿💙

At OASES Community Carers, we recognise that wheelchairs are more than mobility aids — they represent freedom, independence, inclusion, and opportunity.

International Wheelchair Day is about:
✨ Celebrating the positive impact wheelchairs have on people’s lives
✨ Recognising the incredible strength and resilience of wheelchair users
✨ Acknowledging the importance of accessibility and inclusion in our communities

As an NDIS provider, OASES Community Carers is committed to supporting participants to live empowered, independent lives — whether that’s at home, in the community, at work, or pursuing personal goals.

Today we stand with wheelchair users, their families, carers, and advocates, and we continue to promote a more accessible and inclusive Australia.

Let’s keep building communities where everyone can move through life with dignity and choice.

Today we join the global celebration of International Day of Sign Languages, recognising the importance of sign languages in achieving human rights for all. 🙌

💛 R U OK? Day – A Reminder to Check In 💛
September 11, 2025

Today is R U OK? Day – a national day of action that reminds us all to ask one simple but powerful question: "Are you really OK?"

At OASES Community Carers, we understand the value of connection, compassion, and community. Mental health matters every day, but today is a moment to pause and truly check in – with your clients, your colleagues, your friends, and your family.

You don’t need to be an expert – just a good listener. A small conversation can make a big difference. 💬

Let’s create a safe and supportive space for those who might be struggling. You never know who needs to hear that someone cares.

👉 Start the conversation:

Ask R U OK?

Listen with an open mind

Encourage action

Check in later

🧡 You’re never alone. And you don’t have to walk this journey in silence.
