After many false starts, Buddy (aka Thekidscalledit) went to his new home this morning. When Emma and Shannon came to view Buddy, he bonded with them immediately and it was clear they were a perfect match for him.
Buddy has settled into his new home beautifully. We wish Emma and Shannon all the best with their new furbaby, and look forward to lots of updates on their progress.

Our gorgeous boy made the paper. He was competing in the Standardbred Invitational Derby held at the Hygain Tatura Dressage Classic. Thanks to Stuart Archibald for riding him so well.

Yesterday Ky Vet Clinic ran a gastrocopy clinic with Alex from Randlab. As Buddy is for sale, we took the opportunity to have him checked out. Alex said he had the best Pylorus he'd seen (which is not as common as you'd expect!). We also had vet Tiana give him a dental check. He passed this with flying colours too!
Our Buddy boy is definitely an over-achiever 😎😎

Mate had a bit of a tidy up today in preparation for his big dressage debut next weekend. He was very well behaved.

Woo hoo I’m home from the UK and I have some very exciting news!
Aldebaran Illusion (aka Mate) has been invited to participate in the Hygain Tatura Dressage Classic and Spring Showcase,as part of the Invitational Standardbred Derby on the 10th of August as a feature of the Saturday night program.
Organisers are going randomly match 6 retired Standardbreds with 6 invited dressage riders. Riders will have 30 minutes to get to know their allocated mount before presenting an EA dressage workout before the judges.
We are very proud to participate in this event and would like to thank Sue Terry and HRV Hero for the opportunity to showcase this amazing breed. It would be amazing to have support from the standardbred community at the event.
