Fuel access isn’t optional for funeral services—it’s essential.
Every day, we travel across our region to bring loved ones into care and support families at one of the most difficult times in their lives. These services are immediate and cannot be delayed.
Without reliable fuel access, families could face disruptions in care when it matters most.
We have written to key leaders—including Jacinta Allan, Mary-Anne Thomas, Lily D'Ambrosio, Annabelle Cleeland, Wendy Lovell, Jaclyn Symes, Melissa Horne, Lisa Chesters, Chris Bowen and Catherine King—to advocate for funeral services to be recognised as an essential service in fuel planning.
Because when someone dies, care cannot wait.
Funeral directors travel significant distances every day to bring loved ones into care and support families through the funeral process. Reliable access to fuel is essential to ensure these services continue without disruption.
As the peak national body, Funerals Australia is advocating to State and Federal Ministers for funeral services to be recognised as an essential service in any fuel prioritisation arrangements, helping ensure families can continue to receive care when they need it most.
Join us in advocating for recognition of funeral services in emergency fuel planning.
