One of the several health campaigns running throughout November in Australia is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. As the 5th most commonly diagnosed cancer in the country, more than 15,000 Australians are affected every year (Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation).
With the National Lung Cancer Screening Program now commenced since 1st July 2025, there is renewed focus on early detection and continued research to improve outcomes for those affected by lung cancer. Learn more about the program at: https://www.health.gov.au/our-work/nlcsp/how-it-works
