Good news - your love of dark chocolate might be doing more than just satisfying a craving.

Research shows that high-cocoa dark chocolate (70%+) is rich in flavonoids — powerful plant compounds linked to:

• Improved heart health and circulation
• Reduced inflammation
• Better brain function and cognitive performance
• Lower risk of age-related decline

One large study published in the BMJ found that higher flavonoid intake was associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease — one of the key factors impacting longevity.

There’s also emerging evidence that cocoa flavanols may help support memory and brain plasticity — reinforcing that “use it or lose it” applies to nutrition too.

💡 The key? Quality and moderation.
Think 1–2 small squares of dark chocolate or a couple of small dark easter eggs (Lindt is a personal favourite 😉), enjoyed mindfully — not a whole block on the couch.

Because longevity isn’t about restriction…
