Love has truly been in the air this week at Langwarrin Community Aged Care ❤️

Our home has been filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of heartfelt moments as we celebrated Valentine’s Day together. From creative craft sessions and delicious cooking activities to wonderful musical entertainment, our residents have embraced every opportunity to connect, share stories and enjoy each other’s company.

It’s been a beautiful reminder that Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romance — it’s about friendship, kindness and the special bonds we create every day within our community.

We would love to spread that warmth beyond our walls and wish a very Happy Valentine’s Day to all our families, friends and the wider Langwarrin Community. Thank you for being part of the love that makes our home so special 💕

Today some of the residents enjoyed a very special bus outing with Cycling Without Age Mornington Peninsula 💙
The residents were able to get out into the community to visit the Seaford Wetlands, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the sights at a relaxed and comfortable pace. These outings are all about connection and joy.
A big thank you to the wonderful volunteers at Cycling Without Age who make these moments possible and to our staff for supporting another meaningful day out. 🌿😊

Love is definitely in the air at Langwarrin Community Aged Care
In the lead-up to Valentine’s Day, our residents in Banksia – our memory support wing have been keeping busy with lots of heart-warming activities focused on love, fun, friendship and connection.

Over several days, they've enjoyed cooking together and indulging in delicious Valentine’s treats including trifle, drinks and rocky road. Alongside this were calming and creative moments with colouring-in, jigsaw crafts to display, and some lovely photo shoot opportunities to capture the smiles.
It’s been a beautiful time filled with laughter, creativity and meaningful connections.

This week our residents enjoyed celebrating Waitangi Day with a variety of meaningful and fun activities.
Throughout the week, residents took part in creative crafting sessions, making beautiful feathered cloaks known as kahu huruhuru. There were also themed word games, an immersive VR experience, and an armchair travel journey to New Zealand ✈️
As part of the celebration, residents enjoyed learning about New Zealand culture and even had the chance to taste test some traditional foods, which was a real highlight for many.
Waitangi Day, celebrated on February 6, is the National Day of New Zealand and marks the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840.
A lovely week of culture, creativity and connection.
