As the year comes to a close, I want to wish everyone in this community a very happy New Year.

To the families, carers and supporters who follow this page, thank you for being here.

I’m looking forward to bringing more support for everyone in the New Year by sharing valuable information and creating events that will provide support and answer questions.

May the year ahead bring hope, clarity, connection and moments of rest alongside the challenges. Be gentle with yourself, celebrate the small wins, and remember that looking after you matters too.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe, healthy and compassionate New Year. ✨

🎄✨ Wishing You a Safe & Merry Christmas ✨🎄

As the year draws to a close, we want to wish all of our families a very safe and merry Christmas. May this festive season bring moments of joy, rest, and connection, however you choose to celebrate.

Whether your days are loud or quiet, busy or slow, filled with traditions or something entirely your own, we hope you’re able to spend precious time with the people who matter most to you. Be gentle with yourselves, take things at your own pace, and hold space for what you need during this season.

Thank you for being part of our community. Looking forward to bringing you more support and events in the New Year.

We’re sending love, warmth, and best wishes to you and your loved ones this Christmas and into the new year. 💛✨

✨ What an awesome show for our second last week on RPPFM - Your Peninsula Radio for 2025! ✨

Today we had the pleasure of speaking with Ashley and Jacqui from Lumia Care, and what a fantastic conversation it was. We loved hearing all about the incredible support they provide to people and their families, and the heart-centred approach they bring to their work every day. 💛

Lumia Care is all about empowering people to live with dignity, confidence, and independence. Their team is dedicated to offering high-quality support, personalised care, community connection, and services that truly honour each person’s goals. They don’t just deliver support, they build relationships based on trust, respect, and a deep understanding of each person’s needs.

Thank you so much Ashley and Jacqui for joining us today, we absolutely loved having you on the show and showcasing the important work you do. 🙌

Today, Darcy and I were thrilled to be part of the official launch of Frankston beach becoming a fully accessible beach.

Such a great time down there booking our cabana, using the mats to walk into the water and seeing everyone have a chance to experience the beach regardless of ability. The beach wheelchairs are incredible, and it was really lovely seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces.

This amazing project will be happening every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from now through to February. Not only are there be beach mats to enable wheelchair access down to the water’s edge, but participants can hop on their booking page and book a cabana and sun lounger for two hours.

Trained assistants will be there to help them with water wheelchairs, hoist transfers and the like. They are still lobbying for a changing places facility, so watch this space.

Today the sun was shining and it was perfect for the launch of this for the summer months.

Bookings will not be available on the following dates:

a) Christmas Day, Thursday 25 December 2025
b) During the Frankston Waterfront Festival: Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 February 2026

What a wonderful evening we had at the Visions & Dreams Online Workshop! ✨

Together, we created vision boards filled with hopes, goals, and the dreams we want to bring to life in 2026. 🌈

There is something incredibly powerful about putting your vision in front of you and not just holding it in your mind, but seeing it clearly every day. A vision board reminds us of what matters, keeps us focused when life gets busy, and encourages us to take the steps needed to turn those dreams into reality. 🌟

Tonight wasn’t just about finding images and placing them on a template, it was about believing in ourselves, setting intentions, and beginning the journey to make them happen. 🎯💫

Because when we see our goals, we work towards them one step, one action, one moment at a time.

Thank you to everyone who joined in with such energy and positivity. 💛

Stay tuned… the next Visions & Dreams workshop will be happening again next year, and I can’t wait to do it all again. 🌟✨

Today we spoke with Cody from The Disability Events Community - The DEC to hear about the incredible expos they take around Australia every year.

Their expos reach rural and remote areas as well as other suburbs so they can bring the providers to the people that need them.

Love what they do, and Tina Naughton, Monique Cain and I loved speaking with you today on RPPFM - Your Peninsula Radio 📻

Tune in next week for our second last show for the year.
