People-pleasing often begins as protection, a way of keeping the peace, staying connected, or avoiding conflict.

Resentment can grow when your needs stay unspoken for too long, especially when boundaries are not expressed or honoured.

Where do you say yes when your body is quietly saying no? It might be subtle, a tightening in your chest, a heaviness, or a pause you move past quickly.

Saying yes can feel easier in the moment, but over time something can build, it might be frustration, exhaustion, or a sense of being stretched too far.

Boundaries are not about pushing people away, they are a way of listening to yourself and staying well in connection.

This isn’t about getting it perfect, it's about noticing. Noticing where you override yourself, noticing what your body is trying to tell you, and noticing where a boundary might be needed.

Awareness is where things begin to shift 🧡

There’s something unexpectedly joyful about spotting a TAS ROCKS rock out in the world.

Recently, I found two … just sitting there in the olive tree, waiting to be noticed. It made me smile more than I expected.

To the person/people who painted them, carried them, and intentionally placed them there for myself or someone else to find… thank you.

You might never know who picks it up, or what kind of day they’re having, but these little acts of kindness ripple out in ways that matter.

It’s such a simple thing… a rock, a bit of colour and a quiet message of connection. It really reminds me how good people are and how we look out for each other in small, thoughtful ways.

I’ve re-hidden it for the next person to find ... passing on the joy 🧡

It’s the first of the month this week … yes, we are heading into May! It’s not a fresh start, just a gentle return.

A return to your breath, a return to your body and a return to what helps you feel steady again.

Yin Yoga isn’t about pushing or ‘switching off.’
It’s about regulating your nervous system,
so your body can soften in its own time. We say that yin is about regulation, not relaxation.

This week… I have four opportunities for you to do just that:

🧡Monday
🧡Thursday
🧡Friday
🧡Saturday (first of the month session)

As always there’s no pressure, no expectations, as it’s your empowered choice, just a space to land.

If you’ve been feeling a bit stretched, tired, or ‘on’ all the time … this is your moment to come and join us at The HUB. We are a pretty cool bunch.

Today, as a community, as a nation, we pause.

ANZAC Day is a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and strength of those who served, and those who continue to serve.

It’s also a day to acknowledge the families and communities who carry that impact across generations. The loss, the resilience, the quiet stories that are often never fully spoken.

There is something deeply grounding about this day with the early morning stillness, the coming together, and the shared moments of remembrance.

I am remembering not just what was given, but what it means to look out for one another, the mateship, the care, the human connection.

THANK YOU.

Lest we forget 🧡

YIN isn’t about switching off … it’s about tuning inward.

Yin yoga supports your nervous system to regulate, to slow things down, to notice, to feel, and to come back into balance.

This is where the real work happens, as we're not chasing relaxation, but supporting our nervous system to regulate because when the body feels safe, everything else can begin to settle.

Through long, supported holds, we work into the body’s deeper tissues, helping to release tension, improve mobility, and settle the nervous system.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, wired, or just 'a bit off' … this is your space to come back to yourself. I am a yoga alliance certified trauma informed yin yoga teacher which means ... I've got you.

Classes running:
🧡Mondays 6-7pm
🧡 Thursdays 6:30-7:30am
🧡 Fridays 9:30-10:30am
🧡 First Saturday of each month 8-9am

Come as you are. There's no pressure, no performance, just a space to land, with a community of beautiful people.

You don’t have to be perfect in your relationships, and you don’t have to get everything right the first time.

You can come back, you can listen and you can take responsibility for your part. You can also allow others to hold theirs.

Repair is not about fixing everything, it's about being honest, present, and willing to reconnect ... without losing yourself in the process 🧡

All relationships experience moments of disconnection.

Misunderstandings happen, feelings get hurt and sometimes things don’t always come out the way we intended.

It’s easy to think something has gone wrong when this happens, but moments like this are part of being in relationship.

What matters most is not avoiding rupture, but what happens after.

Repair can be simple. It might sound like:
“I’m sorry.”
“I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“Can we try again?”

Repair is about coming back. It's about listening, taking responsibility, and being willing to reconnect.

Relationships do not need to be perfect to be meaningful. They need space for honesty, repair, and understanding 🧡

Last month, I attended the Tasmanian Su***de Prevention Community Networks LIFE Awards, followed by the Su***de Prevention Forum.

Firstly, how wonderful to see such a strong turnout from the North West Coast. It really reminded me of the depth of care, connection, and commitment that exists in our communities.

It was also incredibly special to see my dear friend Miranda (Mindful Mud ) nominated for such a well-deserved LIFE award. Sitting in that space, witnessing the work that so many people are doing quietly and consistently, was something I don’t take for granted. Miranda you are a superstar!

This photo … well, it probably sums us up perfectly, a moment of laughter in the middle of important conversations because even in this space, there is still room for connection, lightness, and being human together.

The following day, I attended the Su***de Prevention Forum, with this year’s theme “From the Ground Up” it was a powerful reminder that hope, connection, and change are built in the everyday moments, by everyday people.

There were many highlights throughout the day, but two really that have stayed with me.

Firstly, my dear friend Christina shared her lived experience story with such honesty, bravery, and courage. These stories are not easy to tell, and yet they are so important. They create understanding, they create connection, and they remind people they are not alone. Full power to you Christina, may you continue to grow and shine!

Secondly, Miranda again, offering three beautiful mindfulness sets across the day which were grounding, gentle, and exactly what was needed in the room. A reminder of the power of simply slowing down and coming back to ourselves.

As I reflect on those two days, the message that continues to rise to the surface is this ... people need HOPE and hope is something we can all offer, through connection, through presence, through listening, and through simply showing up for one another 🧡

Thank you very much to your wonderful team . I'm so grateful for those two days.

You don’t have to judge yourself for what you see.

You can meet it with curiosity and understanding.

Your patterns have a story, and you can begin to understand them, one moment at a time.

Awareness gives you space to pause,
and space to choose something different when you’re ready 🧡

09/04/2026

We all have patterns.

Patterns of ways of thinking, responding, and relating that we’ve learnt over time, often without even realising it.

Some patterns help us feel safe, connected, and in control, and others can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or repeating the same experiences.

Even when a pattern isn’t helpful anymore, we can still find ourselves going back to it, not because something is wrong with us, but because it once made sense to us.

Awareness is where things begin to shift.

When you start to notice your patterns, you create a little space between the pattern and your response.

You don’t have to change everything all at once, just noticing is enough to begin.

Mental Health First Aid REFRESHER course 💥

A little reminder for anyone who has completed Mental Health First Aid, to keep your accreditation current, a refresher course is required every 3 years.

This is about staying connected to the skills. It’s also about remembering how to recognise when someone might not be okay, how to respond in a safe and supportive way, and how to have conversations that really matter.

In this refresher, we revisit the Action Plan, talk through real-life scenarios, and gently bring those skills back into focus because the truth is, if we’re not using these skills regularly, it’s easy to forget, and sometimes, one conversation really can make a difference.

If your refresher is due, this is your opportunity to update your accreditation and reconnect with skills that support your workplace, your family, and your community.
