Such a lovely night celebrating the Launceston Birth Centre ✨

The first photo is some of the incredible midwives who were able to join us on the night — it meant so much to have them there.

The photos in between capture the beautiful community who came along to support the Birth Centre. Seeing so many familiar faces in the room was really special and a reminder of how much this space means to so many.

The last photo is the midwives who regularly work at the Birth Centre, caring for families day in and day out. On the night we also said goodbye to Josephine, who has been with us for the past 12 months and is now heading back to Victoria. We’re so grateful for everything she brought to the team and wish her all the very best for this next chapter.

We also welcomed Marine, who has already settled in so well and feels like she’s been part of the team forever.

It really is the people — both the care providers and the community — who make this place what it is 🤍

We raised enough on the night to replace the flooring in one bedroom, which is incredible. We are now so close to being able to replace the flooring in a second bedroom — we just need another $1600.

Celebrating Community – LBC Fundraiser Update

Wow. We are so incredibly grateful.

Thanks to your generosity and support at our Celebration Fundraiser Night, we raised an amazing $3,641 for the Launceston Birth Centre 💛

This means we now have enough to replace the flooring in one of our bedrooms, something that will truly refresh and care for the space where so many beautiful birth stories begin.

And here’s the exciting part…
If we were to raise an additional $1,600, we could replace the flooring in two bedrooms instead of one.

There is absolutely no pressure at all. The night was already a huge success. But if anyone feels inspired to contribute toward helping us reach that second room, we would be so incredibly thankful.

A very special thank you to Alida for providing such a wonderful venue, plenty of delicious food, beautiful service, and the perfect space to showcase our silent auction items.

To everyone who generously donated auction items, thank you.
To those who bid and won, thank you.
To every single person who attended and supported the evening, thank you.

And to our incredible midwives, thank you for the work you have done over the last 12 months. The care, dedication, and heart you pour into families in our community does not go unnoticed.

Upkeeping our LBC home is something we genuinely love doing. Holding an annual fundraiser allows us to continue nurturing and maintaining this special space for the families who walk through its doors.

We are so proud to be part of this community.

The Launceston Birth Centre Dinner is almost here, and RSVP has been extended to Friday, this is your last chance to book!

Funds raised on the night will go directly toward upgrading the flooring at the LBC, helping us continue to maintain a safe, welcoming, and comfortable space for families and midwives.

Come along to meet both new and familiar faces, hear beautiful birth stories, and enjoy our popular silent auction — you might take home something special while supporting the continued operation of the Birth Centre. During the evening, we’ll be farewelling Josephine as she returns to VIC, and welcoming Marine into our community.

It’s a relaxed, cocktail-style evening with plenty of food, served both indoors and outdoors on the deck. Drinks are available to purchase at the bar. Breastfeeding babies are welcome, and the dress code is neat casual. The weather looks great, so we’ll be able to enjoy both spaces!

You’re invited to the annual Launceston Birth Centre Cocktail Party Dinner!

We have so much to celebrate this year - including welcoming a new midwife to our team. We’re also excited to be hosting the event at a new venue: ALIDA at the Penny Royal, giving us a little more space than last year.
Our 2025 event sold out, and while this year’s venue offers extra room, numbers are still limited - so be quick to secure your tickets!
This year, funds raised on the night will go directly toward upgrading the flooring at the LBC, helping us continue to maintain a safe, welcoming, and comfortable space for families and midwives.
Come along to meet both new and familiar faces, listen to a few birth stories, and enjoy our popular silent auction, where you might take home something special while supporting the continued operation and upkeep of the Launceston Birth Centre. You’ll also hear how our beautiful space is being used by Private Midwives and families in our community.
During the evening, we will be farewelling Josephine, one of our wonderful midwives, as she returns to VIC. She has been an incredible asset to our community throughout 2025, and we will miss her dearly.
Breastfeeding babies are welcome. This is a cocktail-style evening, with plenty of food - enough that you won’t need dinner beforehand. Drinks are available to purchase at the bar and are not included in the ticket price.

What a great way to end 2025.

Thanks to all those mums, dads, bubs and midwives that made it to the LBC morning tea. It was the best attendance yet!

These have been a wonderful way for families of connect and reconnect, thank you for coming along and thank you to the amazing midwives that are making this community possible.

Next one in January, date tbc soon.
