Last week, Dan attended the Stroke Forum sponsored by the Stroke Foundation and the Tasmanian Government , joining researchers and clinicians from across Australia to explore the latest in stroke recovery and rehabilitation. 🧠✨

From evidence-based information for carers and innovative upper limb therapy approaches, to improving practice intensity and exploring new ways to support communication and intimacy after stroke — it was an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and real-world application.

Events like this help keep our team connected to current research and best practice, ensuring we continue delivering the highest quality, evidence-based care for our clients at In-Balance. 🧡

🧡 Big love and best wishes to our amazing Lisa! 🧡

Lisa is heading off on maternity leave for bub number three after this week! 🎉 She’s an absolute powerhouse - a passionate physio, inspiring Pilates instructor, and constant encourager for getting people moving and feeling their best.

We’ll miss her positive, caring energy, her love of snacks, and her ability to brighten every day. We’ll be thinking of you, Lisa, every time there are staff goodies in the break room! 🍪☕️

Enjoy this special time with your beautiful family, you’ve more than earned it. 🧡👶

💪 Your Voice Matters: Help Protect NDIS Funding for Exercise Physiology!

The future of Exercise Physiology (EP) under NDIS is currently under review. If the NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee isn’t satisfied that EP is effective, cost-efficient, and essential for independence, it could no longer be covered under NDIS.

Participation from EP providers, clinicians, researchers, and NDIS participants is critical — your input directly influences the committee’s recommendations.

EP is a vital support that helps people with disability improve health, mobility, independence, and overall wellbeing. The committee is also reviewing other supports like assistance animals, smart home appliances, and seizure alert dogs, but EP is a key service that needs your voice.

If you use EP, have used it, or care for someone who does, please take a few minutes to share your experiences:

Submissions close: 11:59pm AEDT, 9 November 2025

Every response helps highlight the benefits of EP and ensures NDIS participants can continue to access the care they rely on.
