Many women don’t realise they’ve been abandoning themselves. It doesn’t always look obvious, and from the outside, life can seem completely fine. But underneath that, there can be a quiet sense that something feels off.

You might notice it in small, everyday moments.
• Saying yes because you don’t want to let anyone down.
• Prioritising what others need while your own needs go unspoken or unmet.
• Staying quiet because it feels easier to keep the peace.
• Looking outside of yourself for answers, reassurance, or approval.
• Showing up differently depending on who you’re with.

Over time, it can start to feel like you’re not quite yourself anymore. You might feel lost, burnt out, or quietly unfulfilled. Like something is missing, but you can’t quite name what.

Often, what’s missing is you 🤎

Somewhere along the way, you learned to be who you needed to be in order to feel safe, loved, or accepted. And slowly, without even realising it, you moved away from what felt true for you.

And if something in you is quietly asking “who am I now?”, that’s something to listen to.

This space is for the part of you that’s ready to slow down, turn inward, and begin reconnecting with what feels true for you 🤍

Maybe spirituality isn’t as “woo woo” as you think…

The word “spiritual” can be interpreted in different ways, and sometimes it can feel a bit abstract or hard to relate to.

But for me, it’s actually something very simple. It’s about connection to the essence of who you really are - that deeper part of you beneath the layers of conditioning and protection, that feels real, steady and true.

And when something helps you connect to that, that’s what makes it spiritual ✨

What does “spiritual” mean to you? 🤍

Perhaps the freedom you’re seeking isn’t found in going somewhere else, getting a different job or living a different version of your life, but in being your true, authentic self 💫

Imagine expressing how you really feel instead of saying what you think you should say. Honouring your needs instead of putting them aside for someone else. Choosing what feels right for you instead of going along with what’s expected. Allowing yourself to be seen instead of holding parts of yourself back. Speaking honestly instead of keeping the peace at your own expense.

You might have already started to notice the moments where you’re acting in a way that feels safe, rather than being yourself. And when you notice this, you begin to feel the difference.

And maybe the freedom you’re seeking is the feeling that comes when you begin to be yourself in those moments - real, honest and true ✨

And this is something that’s absolutely possible for you 🤎

Who or what is at the centre of your inner world? 💫

Your inner world is like a solar system…

When balanced and in harmony, the centre is the Sun - your true self ☀️

And around it are the planets - all the different parts of you… your roles, ways of being, and different aspects of your personality 🪐

But sometimes a planet can move to the centre and everything starts organising around that. This throws our solar system off balance.

And that’s usually when things start to feel off, like you don’t quite feel like you’re being the the real you.

This is why understanding your inner world -
and the different parts within it - is so important.

Because it can help your true self return to the centre, restoring balance to your inner world.

And from there you can hold all parts of yourself with more awareness, more clarity, and more acceptance 🤎

There’s often a moment where something clicks.

Not in a big, dramatic way.... just quietly.

You realise… oh, that’s why I do that.

Why you override yourself.
Why you go along with things that don’t feel quite right.
Why you keep ending up in the same patterns.

And it’s not because something is wrong with you.

It’s usually because something in you learned: this is how I stay safe.

For a lot of women, this has been running for a long time. So long that it just feels like who they are.

But it isn’t.

And even just seeing it a little can start to change something.

Not all at once, but enough to start noticing, questioning and pausing in those moments.

That’s usually where it begins - your journey back to you.

And it’s also the space I work in with women.

Gently exploring these patterns, understanding where they’ve come from, and starting to unravel them.

So you can begin to reconnect with what actually feels true for you 💫

Someone asked me recently if showing up more as my true self felt like a drastic change.

And I realised… the idea of it can feel big, and even a bit scary.

Like you’d have to suddenly become a completely different person overnight.

But that hasn’t been my experience.

For me, it’s been a gradual process over several years.

Layers of awareness, understanding and small shifts in how I show up.

Often just little experiments - at a level that felt safe for me.

And it’s not something that just finishes either.

I still notice conditioned patterns show up.
I’m still moving through new layers.
I’m still learning and changing.

So what might feel like a big, overwhelming change, is often just a series of small, manageable steps as you move through it.

You don’t need to change everything about yourself all at once - it’s a wonderful, ongoing evolution over time 🤎

I wove a beautiful concept from Buddhist philosophy into last night’s yin class - the Five Skandhas 🪷

They describe the different layers of our experience:

🤍 Form
🤍 Feeling tone
🤍 Perception
🤍 Mental formations
🤍 Consciousness

When we slow down - in yin, meditation, or quiet reflection - we can begin to notice these layers unfolding moment by moment.

And sometimes simply seeing our experience more clearly can create a little more space, curiosity, and ease in how we meet each moment 🤎

I’ve realised something recently…

There’s a big difference between being visible as a persona and being visible as your true self.

For a long time I adapted myself depending on the environment I was in - doing or saying what I thought people wanted to see or hear.

Those personas helped me fit in.
They helped me feel accepted.

But they also kept me a little hidden.

And I think part of why I’ve been feeling stuck in my business is because showing up as my real self feels very different from showing up behind a persona.

Taking the mask off can feel vulnerable.

But I’m starting to see that vulnerability - even in its raw, imperfect form - is the way through my stuckness.

So this is me practising being visible without a mask. Just me showing up as me 🤎☺️

Have you ever noticed yourself showing up as a persona in different environments?

Does being visible as your true self feel vulnerable for you too?
