Active Discovery Project

Active Discovery Project Holistic health is an approach to life that considers multidimensional aspects of wellness. Learn about health from ALL aspects, NOT JUST THE PHYSICAL.

Health has a whole spectrum from emotional body, to physical body, to social to mental and more. We created a space for people to connect, feel supported and safe, while learning about themselves to empower and progress in becoming the best version of who they are, outside the spectrum of cultural pressure and expectation!

What a morning! 🙌

ADP took on our second parkrun together at parkrun Henry Kendall and it’s safe to say our consistency and varied training are paying off 💪

So many of our crew improved their times, but even better… everyone showed up, supported each other, and had a fantastic time ❤️

From 16 to 85 years young, our members continue to prove that age is no barrier to living your best, active life 🌿

A big thank you to the amazing volunteers at Henry Kendall Reserve parkrun 👏
And of course, we loved finishing with a well-earned breakfast ☕🥐

Bring on the next one!

You know her , we love her ! This one’s been a long time coming !!

Congratulations coach we are so stoked to have you a part of the ADP coaching team and we know the community is as well!

For those that don’t know Andie she has been an ADP member almost from open day. Andie has put so much time consistency and effort into her training, she has done nothing but improve time and time again year after year and has been a part of the glue that binds the ADP community.

Andie brings a new perspective to the coaching squad, her own flavour of programming and as always her happy high vibe! We are so lucky to have her a part of the team!

Give Andie a big congrats in the comment section and when you see her 💪

ADP athletes don’t just train for the gym… they train for life 🏃‍♀️

This weekend our crew took on a 5km parkrun and proved exactly why constantly varied training matters. Strength, engine, grit and community all showed up.

ADP training builds:
• Aerobic capacity to keep moving
• Strength to stay resilient
• Mental toughness to keep pushing
• Confidence to try new challenges

You don’t have to be a “runner” to run.
You don’t have to specialise to show up.
You just have to be willing to give it a go.

So proud of everyone who laced up, stepped outside their comfort zone and represented our community. 💪

Sorry for all those we missed in the photos , next run pre race group shot!!

Train like a women..

Stop taking nutrition and training advice made for men.
Unfortunately much nutrition advice we follow is geared towards men..’We are not small men’ Dr Sims.

Women are different — your hormones, metabolism, and stress response systems don’t work the same way.

As a women you need to stop forcing yourself into someone else’s plan and start training in a way that supports your body.

Start with this: stop training fasted.

Working out without fuel — especially in the morning — spikes stress hormones.
Your body doesn’t see it as “fat burning”… it sees it as a threat.

That can lead to:
• muscle loss
• stubborn belly fat
• fatigue and burnout

Even a small protein-based snack before training can make a massive difference.

You don’t need to punish yourself.
You need to fuel properly, lift smart, and stop following rules that were never made for you.

Fasted training is a trend — and honestly… it needs to die off already.
