Yesterday we held our 2025 Annual General Meeting, bringing together Board Members, staff and our wider Woorayl Lodge community to reflect on another year of challenges, progress and shared achievements.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was recognising our incredible team through our Staff Service Award presentations. These awards acknowledge the dedication and commitment shown by our staff over many years, and their ongoing contribution to providing high-quality care for our residents.

🌟 Congratulations to all of our award recipients who were celebrated for reaching their service milestones. Your ongoing contribution to Woorayl Lodge is truly appreciated.

Woorayl Lodge Strategic Plan 2025–2030 Launch

Yesterday, Board President Linda Fiddelaers officially launched the Woorayl Lodge Strategic Plan 2025–2030, joined by residents, staff, community members and management.

The new plan sets out our shared vision for the next five years — to continue delivering person-centred, rights-based aged care and to develop a new state-of-the-art residential facility in Leongatha that meets the growing needs of our community.

Developed through consultation with more than 180 people, including residents, families, staff, volunteers and local organisations, the plan truly reflects the voices of our community and the values that make Woorayl Lodge unique.

We are inviting residents, families, carers and representatives to join the Woorayl Lodge Consumer Advisory Body — a group that helps shape our services, culture and resident experience.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a rights-based, person-centred aged care community where every voice matters.

• Help strengthen resident choice, dignity, wellbeing and inclusion
• Share feedback and lived experience to guide continuous improvement
• Partner with us to ensure our care reflects the needs, preferences and culture of our residents and families

We’re inviting Expressions of Interest for a volunteer Board Member. You’ll help guide strategy, finance and risk, and champion quality care for South Gippsland.

Ideal applicants bring experience in accounting, finance, governance, health & aged care, law, risk, banking, business strategy, or community engagement. Monthly evening meetings; occasional committee work.
