Emergencies can happen anytime – and NDIS participants are disproportionately at risk without careful planning from providers.

The emergency management provider alert helps providers:

✅ Plan and account for participants’ individual needs in emergencies
✅ Train and prepare staff for confident and effective responses
✅ Keep critical supports and services running, even during disruptions

It also includes plan templates, checklists for various emergency scenarios, and guidance on including participants in planning.

Online tickets to this year's Family Fun Day are closing at midday tomorrow, Thursday 19 March.

But never fear, if you don't get your tickets online, you will still be able to purchase them at the zoo on the day of the event. Just visit us at the DSV registration marque next to the zoo's main entrance.

🦋 After coming along last year, Daniel from Tranagulla told us, “I felt honoured to be a part of the day and meeting other people with Down syndrome, which I don’t get to do much."

🦋 This year we will also be trying something new at Family Fun Day. We often get feedback about how important community is and how these events are a great way to meet other families. So, this year we are going to offer an extra way to get to know other each other with some welcoming guided (and optional) connection activities.

You never know, your next coffee catch-up or your child's new favourite buddy might be there too!

🦋 If you want to snap up your tickets online before bookings close, visit

💡 Rookie tip for Plan Reassessment Reports: Write down what supports are working well and what could be improved.
✅ Write down what supports have HELPED you.

❌ Note any problems you’ve had or things you WISH you had.

💬 You can share these with your LAC, planner, or support coordinator.

🤝 Having all these thoughts down on paper will help you tell your story and explain what support you need.

💻 To hear why this is so important, and get more tips and tricks to help you with your plan review process, you can come along to our live ‘Plan Reassessments and Reports’ peer workshop session on Monday 30 March as part of our Resource Kit.

📂 It comes with the slides, the peer session recording, auto transcription and more practical tips and resources you can use.

Although well intended, sometimes “Let me know if you need anything” puts the pressure back on the person who’s already struggling. Offering specific support makes it easier for them to say yes.

Small, concrete offers can make a big difference.
