To round out a year of a number of birthday milestones we wish our amazing midwife, Sammy a wonderful 50th birthday.
Whilst it’s not due for a few weeks yet, Sammy will be taking a much deserved break and celebrating her birthday in style on holiday with her family.
We couldn’t let her sneak off without any celebration though, and so on Friday night we got together for drinks and then went Axe throwing. Talk about team building and bringing out peoples competitive streaks.
Sammy was a natural but couldn’t quite take out the title of master Axe thrower which went to none other than Winnie.

A beautiful message from one of our mums .sarah.tops Sarah who did Hypnobirthing course……
Both my partner and I really enjoyed the Hypnobirthing course with Sammy. We both felt we got a lot out of it. I went into labour feeling more informed and prepared, and my partner went in with tips on how he could support me.

With the help of the techniques we learnt, we were able to welcome our baby girl into a calm and happy environment. I recommend this course to anyone feeling a little apprehensive about the birth or wanting a way to include their birthing partner in the pregnancy and birth process

Meet the Doctors at Burnside Women's Health ✨

After graduating with a medical degree from Adelaide University, Dr Beth Russ completed six years of specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Over the past 15 years Dr Russ has had the privilege of helping women & couples become parents. She also offers comprehensive gynaecological care to women of all ages, with a special interest in infertility, colposcopy, menopause and heavy periods.

In addition to her private practice Dr Russ is a Senior Visiting Medical Specialist at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital where she attends a regular antenatal clinic, labour ward cover and is involved in the supervision and training of the next generation of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists. This association allows her to look after her high-risk patients across both hospitals.

When Beth is away from the practice she loves to travel, read and kick-box. More recently she has become addicted to ‘Outlander’ on Netflix.

G ‘ D A Y E D W I N👶🏻💙
Gorgeous Miss Courtney & Mr Josh came in recently for Courtney’s postnatal check. And Master Edwin is just so squishy, we could have cuddled him all day long.
Courtney and Josh had done Hypnobirthing with Sammy and these guys are smashing this parenthood thing right out of the ball park.
Keep making beautiful babies guys, we can’t wait for number 2
