I’m jumping on the Feb Fast this month.
No alcohol. Nothing extreme. Just a simple, practical reset.

As a dad, I’ve noticed how easy it is to put my own health last, especially when things feel busy, noisy, or stretched.

One small thing I’m pairing it with is a daily walk with the dog: fresh air, movement, thinking space (sometimes), no phone (most of the time).

I’m not doing this to be perfect, just to be a bit more present, regulated, and steady.

If you’re a dad and this resonates, feel free to walk alongside me this month, literally or figuratively.

And if you want support to make changes like this actually stick, that’s exactly the space I work in as a dads practitioner.

Growing strong together, one simple step at a time.

Grateful for the support, conversations, and trust around Strong Dads so far. I’ve really appreciated people stopping to say hi in the street, at the shops, pool and around Geelong lately.

What started as a simple idea (that fathers deserve real, practical, consistent and in person support) is beginning to take shape because you guys keep engaging, sharing, and leaning in.

This work is about more than a program or a page. It’s about changing how we support dads, strengthen families, and model healthier ways for men to show up.

We’re still at the beginning, but the direction is clear and the response so far has reinforced that this matters.

This is just the beginning.

Strong Dads IS for:
• Men who want to show up better for their kids
• Dads who know something isn’t working and are open to growth
• Men willing to reflect, take responsibility, and try something new
• Fathers who want support, not fixing
• Blokes ready to look after themselves as part of looking after their family

Strong Dads is NOT for:
• Men being forced by a partner, court, or employer
• Anyone looking for a quick fix or someone to blame
• Men who don’t want to engage or reflect
• People wanting therapy without ownership, accountability or effort

Hit me up for more info!
Cheers,
Si

I hear this a lot: ‘I wish my partner would do this.’
Women can see the value, but real change only happens when men want to show up for themselves.
So the question is…how do we create support that feels safe, relevant, and worth engaging with?

Watching my parents sit with my daughter, looking at old photos of me, was one of those pause moments.

Three generations in one room.
Past, present, and future overlapping.

It reminded me how much of parenting is about what we carry and what we choose to change.

I felt a quiet gratitude for the work I’ve done to repair, reconnect, and grow emotionally.
That work shows up now, in ways that matter.

If this resonates, you don’t have to do this work alone.
This is the work I support dads through.

Supporting dads helps kids because secure attachment matters.

Present, supported dads raise safer, more emotionally secure kids.
That doesn’t just shape families, it shapes communities.

This is bigger than parenting. It’s about the future.

You may have noticed that the Strong Dads logo has evolved.

The shield stands for protection: steady, grounded, and present.
The warmth and closeness reflect connection, not distance.

Strong doesn’t mean hard.
It means supported.

Travel days can push every button.

When my daughter got briefly stuck in the parent room and started crying, my body went straight into fight-or-flight.

I wanted to smash the door down and go full papa-bear.

Instead, I swore to myself, took a few deep breaths, and stayed where I was while we worked out how to fix it.

I’m not perfect.
Travelling with little ones is hard, the overstimulation, waiting, uncomfortable temperatures, hunger, and big feelings all piling up at once.

Strength, for me, wasn’t staying calm.
It was noticing the surge, slowing myself down, and responding instead of reacting.

Some days that’s the best work we can do.

Most of us blokes were taught to stay strong by staying silent.

Vulnerability asks something different:
honesty, courage, and connection.

Asking for help early is a strength and skill that protects families.

Strong dads ask for help earlier, not later.

This is the kind of work I support dads with.
