Much of modern life trains us to listen from the head — to analyse, interpret, and conceptualise our world and our place in it.
But embodied listening begins somewhere else.
It begins with slowing enough to feel the weight of the body.
With letting attention drop below thought.
With discovering what happens when we connect to the earth as a sentient presence.
Embodied listening invites a lived and sensory conversation with the lands we wander — one that unfolds through breath, contact, and the quiet intelligence of the body.
When we listen this way, something ancient stirs.
A sense of being held and in continuum with place.
In 2026, Ancient Ground is holding spaces for embodied listening, beginning in February with two trainings:
— Focusing, which opens a doorway into earth based listening and conversation with the land
— Rebirthing Breathwork, a somatic, breath-led pathway into presence, release, and renewal
