Proving that it’s never too late to learn something new, some of the residents at Tudor Village tried their hand at the pottery wheel recently. Lilydale local potter, Dana showed the residents how to mould the clay into small bowls and vases and the finished creations will be fired off-site in a local kiln.
The pottery classes will run regularly at the Residents Workshop and are just one of the many creative activities that residents are involved in.

✨ The ladies at Tudor Village recently enjoyed a lovely visit from Fifth Avenue Jewellery, and the excitement was hard to miss!

Ranging from strands of pearls and long beads to delicate gold and silver chains and earrings, there was something to appeal to everyone.

While many residents picked up Christmas gifts for loved ones, there were plenty of well-deserved “treats for themselves” too!

It was a wonderful afternoon of browsing, chatting, and enjoying the simple pleasure of beautiful things shared with friends. 🌸

💇✨ Meet Melissa, our in-house hairdresser!

At Tudor Village, we love making life easier (and a little more glamorous!) for our residents.

Every Tuesday, our in-house hairdresser Melissa works her magic from our on-site salon offering trims, colours, and chats that brighten the day.

Melissa has been looking after our residents for over 18 months and has built genuine friendships through her warm, caring approach. She’s a Lilydale local, lives with her husband Stephen, their three adult children, and their rescue Golden Retriever, Rosie.

Melissa recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with a getaway to Koh Samui, proof she knows how to celebrate life’s special moments!

Residents and staff at Tudor Village came together to commemorate Remembrance Day last week, a time to pause, reflect, and honour those who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇦🇺🌺

With the Australian flag lowered to half-mast and hand-knitted poppies placed throughout our gardens, the village fell silent for a minute of remembrance. It was a moving tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of those who served, and to the families who continue to remember them.

🐎 What a wonderful day we had celebrating the race that stops the nation!

Our residents gathered for an afternoon of laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of cheering as we played our very own “RacePlay” game with toy horses racing across the floor, strings cranking and everyone egging their favourite on to the finish line! 🏁
