For many 26 January is a difficult day, a reminder of the harm caused by colonisation and the ongoing inequities faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

In the spirit of reconciliation and healing, we need to honestly acknowledge our history and its ongoing impact.

At Each, we acknowledge these impacts and remain committed to walking alongside First Nations Communities to Close the Gap. We stand with and support our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander colleagues and customers who may find this day challenging. Our staff have the option to swap this public holiday for another day that is meaningful to them.

Saying farewell to 2025, we’re looking back at some of the moments that made this year special at Each:

✨ We launched our new brand and website to make finding support simple — so those who need us feel included and understood from the very first step.

💜 The Virtual Women’s Health Clinic launched, making it easier for women across Victoria to get sexual and reproductive healthcare.

📣 We raised our voices for change, standing up against financial abuse in business, raising awareness about medication dependence, and called for investment in preventative care.

🏆 Our Health@Home Pathways program was a finalist in the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards — a testament to the importance of working with acute services to deliver care at home.

📚 We partnered with Monash University to strengthen our research, bringing evidence-based care to the heart of what we do.

🚘 Our L2P (Learner Driver Mentor) program turned 10, thanks to incredible volunteers helping young people gain independence and confidence behind the wheel.

💙 Better Connect marked its first year of bringing free mental health, alcohol and other drug, and su***de prevention services together in Queensland.

🫶 headspace Eastern Shore opened its doors, providing support to more young people in Tasmania.

And so much more — all made possible by our amazing staff, partners, and community.

Our Better Sleep Program can help you figure out what’s happening and how to improve it. You’ll work with a psychologist trained in CBTI (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia) — the gold-standard treatment for insomnia — and explore:

• The thoughts and feelings affecting your sleep
• Habits and routines that affect your rest
• Practical steps to build better sleep patterns

We’re excited – headspace Eastern Shore is now open in Rosny Park in Tasmania!

If you’re 12 to 25 (or care for someone who is), you can drop in, call, or email for free support with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs, or work and study. No referral needed.

Operated by Each and commissioned by Primary Health Tasmania, the centre was shaped by community input and is designed to be a welcoming space, with experienced staff ready to support you.

Many people live with disabilities you can’t see, and their unique challenges are often misunderstood or overlooked.

For example:

🚉 Someone with chronic pain may find standing on a crowded train difficult, yet be judged for sitting in a priority seat.

🏥 At reception, a person with a cognitive processing disorder might feel rushed because staff don’t realise they need extra time.

💡 Someone living with epilepsy may feel unsafe around flickering lights which could trigger a seizure.

There are hundreds of hidden disabilities, and every person’s experience is different. That’s why it’s so important we show allyship, actively listen and create truly inclusive spaces.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a way to start the conversation. For someone with a hidden disability, it a subtle sign they need a little more patience or assistance. For allies, it’s a way to show kindness and readiness to support.

As a proud member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network, you’ll soon see Each team members wearing lanyards with sunflowers on them — a gentle reminder that you’re in a safe space🌻
