So beautiful to have a weeks break of rest and renewal with friends and family, so healing to frolic in warm ocean water and to see the sunrise each morning 😊🙏🏼🌞 I’ve just completed an Ancestral Lineage Healing course with and it’s fascinating and insightful, deep healing. Yes 🙏🏼💖 So true….what the healing journey sounds like compared to what it actually feels like is vastly different! Especially when we are living in a world with so much chaos and upheaval and so little support for healing, this is why we need to move slowly and be gentle with ourselves 🙏🏼🌱😊

Have you tried mindful drawing in nature? I first began this practice in 2015 as part of program and gosh it was deeply mindful, the more you look the more you notice and sense….and if you may be lucky enough to relate to the more than human beings and learn from their wisdom…I’ve treated myself to a plein air art class with and I’m loving mindful drawing, with no focus on the outcome just focussing on the mindful process of noticing and sensing, relating with nature! This white faced heron flew in and reminded me of all the times Heron has gifted me wisdom 😊🙏🏼🌱 Nature art journalling is one of the options when we do a nature connection walk

Hi Everyone,

The supervision course and research was eye-opening for me to discover the potential for what clinical supervision can be!

I was a coach (with International Coach Federation) before I became a counsellor so my supervision style has aspects of coaching to it (setting goals, actions between sessions and accountability) AND I am an IFS-Informed therapist (and Level 4 Counsellor ACA and Clinical Counsellor PACFA) so I love supporting you with your therapist parts or other parts that might be getting activated with clients. I collabourate with you and your nervous system’s preferences to work with your parts using embodied, creative, nature-based strategies so supervision can feel fun, nourishing and energising as well as useful (and you can use those strategies with clients if they feel right for you ).

I’m currently in private practice so love supervision that also focusses on setting up a private practive AND in the past I have worked for a few organisations so I understand burn out, vicarious trauma, and the need to cope with KPIs and managers.

‘Our two most trustworthy guides are Mother Earth and our own Soul and Body’…I heard this on retreat recently with (Dark Alchemy of Embodied Prayer; grief and gifts) and it is ringing deeply true for me. 🌱 Since being back from retreat I’ve been lucky to be guiding people to listen to the two most trustworthy guides in beautiful spots in nature….and the wisdom that is here when we listen deeply always astounds and delights me! 🌱 One of the tools we use in nature, when we’re talking about our inner world of parts, is we externalise them by finding things in nature, in the outer world, to reflect our inner world. This deepens our understanding of parts, and how we can relate to them, and other humans in our life relate to us. 🌱I try every weekend to listen deeply to my two trustworthy guides and these photos all represent things I found that had deep significance for my inner world and gave me much support and deepened my understanding…Thank you Mother Earth for being such a trustworthy guide 🙏🏼💖 And if I see people in the office we still access this trustworthy wisdom through visualisation, nature objects, looking out the window, using metaphor and story 😊🤗

Grief and Gratitude, how do we hold the complexity of this world we live in,the global events/crises, the personal challenges in our bodies, relationships, lives? Often our parts want the world to be all or nothing, a fairy tale ending, and part of the healing journey is understanding the complexity of being human in these times. May you, as shares in the Wild Edge of Sorrow find ways to release and express your grief, (and anger etc) AND to express and share your gratitude and joy for what is here in this moment. All emotions belong, all are welcome. May you have many moments of curiousity, compassion, courage and creativity with people you care about and in connection with the parts of Mother Earth you care about. I’m having a digital detox to be with grief and gratitude as we transition into the New Year- see you in January 🙏🏼🌱🤗

Thankyou for this post. This could be on of the most accurate visual depictions of therapy I’ve seen, a key question always, in every therapy session is how do we increase our capacity to be with the stress of living in this world at this time? 🙏🏼🌱😊
