We extend our deepest support to the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by this tragic event, including police, ambulance, first responders, and civilians.

In moments of heartbreak, compassion and unity matter more than ever. We stand together as one community, sending strength, care, and hope to all those affected.

Today, at the beautiful Hope Harbour Marina, our WeCare Christmas party transformed into an unforgettable adventure. We set sail on a barbecue boat, filled with laughter, great music, and even better company. Our participants stepped out of their comfort zones, trying their hand at fishing. Sarah proudly caught a fish, while Moni had a surprising encounter with a stingray!

The day was filled with smiles, the delicious aroma of barbecue, and the warmth of community. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to WeCare for making it all possible and for helping our participants live such vibrant, joyful lives.

Support worker Beata and Zita were out and about today and it was another first for Zita! 🌟
She enjoyed her very first visit to Mangrove Creek Dam, taking in the views and having a relaxed morning.

They then finished the outing with a lovely morning tea at Yarramalong. ☕🌿

Today we held our annual We Care Bowling Tournament with both participants and Staff.

A tough but exciting competition all round, with plenty of laughs, friendly rivalry, and some serious skills on display. One thing everyone agreed on… they were VERY happy to beat the boss Jayden today, which means the trophy does NOT return to the We Care Hub this year! 😂🏆

It is a day for everyone to challenge perceptions, remove barriers, and seek opportunities that foster true inclusion and participation.

This year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” reminds us of the role we all play in creating accessible and equitable communities.
