for coming home to your self My name is Laura Jones and I am a local Mum here on the Central Coast. Completing in December

I studied Relaxation, Remedial, Trigger Point Therapy and Pregnancy Massage with the School of Integrated Body Therapies and have 16 years hands on experience in these modalities. I have a diploma of Remedial Massage. I have worked alongside a Chiropractor as her assistant/Massage Therapist for 13 years. I am a registered member of ATMS and am eligible to give health fund rebates. In 2006 I completed Reiki Degree 1. In 2007 I completed my pregnancy and postnatal massage training with the School of Integrated Body Therapies. I am also an Infant Massage Instructor (trained by IAIM) and an experienced Birth Doula (birth support) with qualifications with Optimum Birth. In 2015 I completed a Fertility/Digestive Massage course with Clare Blake from Fertility Massage Therapy & Training in the UK. in 2016 I have attended the following seminars at Shakti Durga's Shanti Mission: Ignite Your Spirit 1 & 2, Empowering Relationships 1 & 2, Yoga of the Mind. In 2017 I did a refresher workshop with Clare Blake for Fertility Massage and renewed my first aid certificate. In December my second child is due to be born.

This afternoon I was invited to a new Mummas home to massage her and her friend who also has a 4 month old baby. The women took turns looking after each other’s baby’s while each one received a massage. One Mum said “this is the first time my body has been relaxed in so long”. Find your village Mummas ❤️

What a privilege it is massaging a woman through her entire pregnancy from the first trimester to the third. It’s always so beautiful to be a small part on their journey. To watch their transformation. To patiently wait for that text message finding out the baby has arrived. Meeting that little baby that I once felt inside of her womb. Such a blessing to do this work 🙏🏻

Great results !

“Just had confirmation baby went head down last Friday evening!”. Massaged this second time Mumma at 37 weeks pregnant on Friday! As well as many times during this pregnancy. “My OB wants your details”. Never get tired of seeing these messages come through.

The Seeding Ritual

Yesterday I held this circle in my home. A beautiful offering passed down to me by Gypsy Willow Artemis.

I can’t express enough how powerful this ritual is. Women have the opportunity to talk and journal about their menstrual cycle. From the story of their first bleed, releasing stories that have held shame inside for years. Then to rewrite their menarche (first bleed) story, be held and honored.

This is a rites of passage that needs to be honored and it’s never too late to go back and heal this story that women carry in their wombs.

Magic happens when women gather.

Caesarean because of baby in breech position 🩷

I’ll often do a post on a baby turning head down after being in a breech presentation (bottom or feet down) but I really wanted to do a post on having a caesarean because of your baby’s positioning. I see women come in for body work and spinning babies exercises to encourage baby to turn. Please know, you can do all that you can, even a ECV and sometimes baby’s don’t want to turn. This is your baby’s birth story too, and for whatever reason, sometimes they want to come out different than you hoped. Breech is just another variation of birth. Unfortunately it’s not well supported in the public system. Birth outcomes can be positive no matter how a baby is born but if you feel you have been supported, heard and you made your own choices, it makes a big difference to how you feel about your birth story. I talk to my clients about this when they come in with breech presentation. I will support any birth choices you make. Your body, your baby, your choice.

My teacher, Gypsy left our world only last week. I was so fortunate to be taught by her in April this year and one of the many teachings was The Seeding Ritual. Join me on Saturday 1st November at 3pm in my home at Lisarow to heal some of the shame you may carry. Let myself and other women help celebrate you. You are worthy. I am so proud to continue Gypsy’s legacy.
