I just love this beautiful drawing from an 8 year old big sister, looking forward to welcoming her little sibling in a months time.

I love how she captured the affection of her mum and dad, and the authenticity of the umbilical cord. And the facial expression that she has captured on her little brother’s face is just so adorable.

So much love and awareness and support that you both encompass.. It’s such an honour to be on this ride with you for your four children! ♥️

The Birth House is back baby!!!

I am freaking so happy to say that I am opening up the Birth House doors to the women and families of the Northern Rivers.

I have missed this so much and the time has come.

Now, it’s going to look a little different than how I operated it previously. I won’t be supporting women to birth at the Birth House. For now…

But I will be offering one to one, continuity of midwifery care to women throughout their pregnancy and for 6 weeks after their birth.

This is for women who are planning to birth in the hospital but would desire personalised, holistic, continuity of care through their pregnancy and postnatal period in a non clinical, home like setting. Women who desire to have time to focus on health promotion such as nutrition and herbal medicine support as well as birth preparation and planning for the first couple of months after birth.

There will also be the option of having private obstetric shared care for women with any pregnancy complications that may have risked them out of the available hospital midwifery group practice.

There will also be an option for women to have in-home early labour support by their private midwife before going to hospital. As well as doula labour and birth support in hospital.

And the good news is, it’s sooo much more affordable than the previous private midwifery model of care through the Birth House.

So please let any pregnant women who are already planning to birth in hospital know of this incredible option for their maternity care.
