Our medics Lucas and Nic ventured out to Portland to provide flare training for the NSW SES Portland Unit. Lucas taught the attendees how to use daytime smoke flares and nighttime red flares, usually used on their boats.


Disclaimer: Flares are only to be used in an emergency and several precautions were taken whilst providing the training. Police and other emergency services were notified prior and community notices were provided to alleviate any worry or panic.
