🚧 Road Closure Update – Access to Hartley Valley Vets 🚧

Due to the current road closures and disruptions on Mount Victoria Pass, access to Hartley Valley Vets has changed temporarily.

🐾 Central West clients: You can still access us via the Great Western Highway eastbound (heading towards Sydney). Please let the road crew know you are travelling to the Vets and they will kindly allow you to continue through.

🐾 Blue Mountains clients: Please travel via the Darling Causeway to reach the clinic. Please be considerate of travel time if coming from the Blue Mountains, as the journey may take longer than usual.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while these disruptions are in place and look forward to continuing to care for your pets.

We will do our best to keep clients updated as information becomes available, and appreciate your understanding as details may change while updates continue to come through.

If you’re unsure about the best route, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your understanding! 🐶🐱

🚨 Understanding the Dangers of Heatstroke in Pets

Heatstroke poses severe risks to our furry friends. If left untreated, it can lead to:

1️⃣ Organ Failure: Elevated body temperature can harm vital organs.
2️⃣ Brain Damage: Heat stress can impact cognitive functions.
3️⃣ Seizures: Excessive heat may trigger seizures in pets.
4️⃣ Coma or Death: In extreme cases, untreated heatstroke can be fatal.

Prevention is key! Keep them cool, hydrated, and never underestimate the impact of rising temperatures on your pets well-being. 🌡️🐶🐱
