Our dedicated team of ophthalmologists, orthoptists and receptionists ensure your visit is both personalised and informative. At South West Vision Institute we specialize in a wide variety of eye conditions, such as cataract surgery, offering a wide variety of lens choices as well as the latest surgical techniques including laser assisted cataract surgery. We offer the newest innovations in Laser Eye Surgery including SMILE “Keyhole LASIK”. South West Vision Institute specialises in Macular Degeneration treatment offering both lucentis and avastin injections. We complete comprehensive retinal examinations with particular interest in diabetic retinopathy. Our corneal specialists offer a full range of corneal grafts including Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK), Descemets’ Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK) and Descemets’ Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK). South West Vision Institute specialises in Keratoconus treatments including collagen cross-linking, corneal rings, topography guided laser surface ablation combined with cross linking, corneal transplantation including Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK) and Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK). South West Vision Institute is proud to be the only private practice in the South West offering paediatric examination and strabismus surgery. Full comprehensive glaucoma examinations are available with both in room and surgical intervention available. Oculoplastic services are also available for both cosmetic and clinical lid conditions.
