Kiera recently enjoyed a wonderful day celebrating a birthday with family at the Launceston Aquatic Centre, surrounded by laughter, fun and plenty of smiles.

🐎 A beautiful day out with the horses 🧡🖤

Courtney recently spent some time enjoying the calm and connection that comes from being around horses, a truly special experience.

Animals have a wonderful way of bringing joy, relaxation and confidence, and it was great to see Courtney enjoying the moment and making the most of her time outdoors.

Experiences like this are a great reminder that meaningful supports can come in many forms, especially when they involve activities that bring happiness and a sense of connection.

From iconic experiences to everyday moments of joy, this trip wasn’t just about travel, it was about choice, independence, dignity of risk, and living life on Patrick’s terms.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our participants last evening.

Our thoughts and hearts are with his family, friends, and the entire adaptCARE team who provided care, compassion, and unwavering support during this time.

Thank you to every staff member involved for your dedication, kindness, and commitment to ensuring dignity, comfort, and respect in his final days.

🧡 Community & Inclusion in Action 🧡

For more than two years, Suzanne had been unable to leave her home other than for essential medical transport and hospital visits.

Last week, we witnessed something truly special.

Through patience, trust, and the unwavering dedication of our team, Suzanne was supported, with extreme encouragement and at her own pace, to step back into her community. She joined others for a group lunch at a neighbouring bowls club, sharing connection, laughter, and a moment that once felt out of reach.

This wasn’t about ticking a box or “getting out for the sake of it.” It was about belonging, choice, and being supported to live a full life in the community.

We’re incredibly proud of Suzanne and of the team whose compassion, persistence, and belief helped make this possible.

This is what inclusion looks like.
