We love using Guess Who? in therapy sessions, especially when it’s themed to match our kids’ interests!✨️

Games like this help children practice describing words, turn-taking, asking and answering questions, and flexible thinking.
And best of all? They don’t even realise how much they’re learning while they play!❤️

It’s AAC Month this October — and we’re continuing our AAC Takeover!

There are still so many myths about AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), so let’s set the record straight

🚫Myth: Using AAC stops children from learning to speak.
✅️Fact: Research shows AAC can actually support speech and language development by giving kids a way to communicate right away.

🚫Myth: AAC is only for children who cannot speak at all.
✅️Fact: AAC supports children with all levels of speech. It’s about giving choices, reducing frustration, and helping communication flow more easily.

🚫Myth: AAC takes too long to learn.
✅️Fact: Like any skill, AAC takes practice and consistency, but once it clicks, it becomes a natural and empowering part of everyday life.

Every child deserves a way to be heard. AAC helps make that happen!❤️💕🌻

Did you know that a classic game like Guess Who? can do more than just entertain? It’s a fun way to support children’s speech and language skills, including:
👉Vocabulary development – describing people using adjectives like hair color, clothing, and accessories
👉Speech clarity – practicing articulation in a relaxed, playful way
👉Question formation – learning to ask clear yes/no questions to figure out answers
👉Social communication – building turn-taking, active listening, and conversational skills

Simple games can make a big difference in helping children grow their communication skills while having fun!
