ā€œMy blood tests are normal… but I feel awful.ā€

This happens far more often than people realise.

Because standard reference ranges are designed to identify disease — not the early dysfunction that can make you feel exhausted, inflamed, hormonally chaotic and disconnected from your body.

Your body often whispers for years before anything shows up on a lab report.

Hot take.

Coffee probably isn’t the reason your cortisol is high.

The real issue?

The invisible mental load most women are carrying.

Working
mothering
thinking about dinner
replying to messages
worrying about what people think
trying to be healthy
trying to keep everything together.

Your nervous system never gets a break.

Over time this constant pressure disrupts the HPA axis, which controls stress hormones, energy, sleep, gut function and reproductive hormones.

So the downstream effects show up as:

fatigue
bloating
PMS
poor sleep
anxiety
hormonal chaos

And then women get told to…

quit coffee
cut carbs
take more supplements.

Sometimes the real solution is slowing the nervous system down and supporting the body properly.

Everyone is obsessed with hitting their protein goals.

Protein bars.
Protein yoghurt.
Protein powders.
Protein everything.

But almost no one is talking about fibre.

And fibre is one of the most important nutrients for:

• gut health
• hormone detoxification
• cholesterol metabolism
• reducing inflammation

Most women I see in clinic are getting 10–15g of fibre per day.

Optimal intake is closer to 25–35g daily.

Yes, meals should include quality protein.

But they should also be balanced.

Protein.
Plants.
Fibre.
Whole foods.

Because health isn’t built on extremes — it’s built on balance.

I’ve officially begun the rebranding process —
Bianca Bown Naturopath is evolving into The Nest – Health Studio.

This shift has been brewing for a while. My work with women has deepened so much — hormones, gut health, energy, nervous system support, and helping you come home to yourself.
I wanted my business name and space to reflect that intention.

Nothing about your care is changing.
Same me, same approach, same cosy space in Lower Inman Valley (and online).
You’ll just start to see a new name, logo, colours, and website rolled out as this next chapter unfolds.

Sometimes I forget just how impactful this work is.

I get so caught up in the day-to-day. Running a business, writing treatment plans, answering emails that I don’t pause enough to reflect on just how lucky I am.

People entrust me with their health. They share their deepest struggles, their fears, their hopes. They let me into the most personal parts of their lives, and that is something I will never take lightly.

It’s an honour. Truly.

Helping someone feel seen, heard, and supported in their health journey is not just my job…it’s my purpose. And for that, I am forever grateful.

It’s an honor to hold space for your transformation, and I’m endlessly inspired by your commitment to your wellbeing.
