馃懀 CLINIC UPDATE lockdown 6.0 Extension 馃懀

So, here we are again.

From Tuesday 17th August 2021 podiatry is restricted to urgent care only until the end of September 2021.

New guidelines set by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) highlights those able to receive care including the following criteria:

Podiatrists must only treat face-to-face if providing urgent clinical care that cannot be delayed.

The definition of urgent clinical care for this purpose is:
Direct clinical care (and other clinical support activity necessary to support direct clinical care) that prevents a significant change or deterioration in functional independence necessitating escalation of care, OR is required as an adjunct to other urgent medical/surgical interventions. For example, urgent clinical care;
路 that avoids a potential hospital admission or emergency department presentation
路 that prevents/delays the need for further specialist medical or surgical intervention
路 that prevents an increase in care needs that would necessitate additional carer supports or change in accommodation needs
路 that limits secondary complications post-surgery
路 where deferral would lead to long term adverse consequences (ie. delays to child development)

We are in the process of contacting our patients with current appointments to discuss their specific cases with them.

If you are unsure about booking an appointment or have any questions please call us on 90957203 and we can discuss your specific case with you. Rest assured our business is still open & operating and if you develop any new issues, have any concerns or have a deterioration in your health we will be able to provide care for you.

Stay safe & take care of each other. We are here if you need us! x
