Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Loxton is a not-for-profit Christian Aged Care Facility in the heart of the Riverland. Riverview Lutheran Rest Home Inc.

is a Not-for-Profit 60 Bed Residential Aged Care Facility comprising of 40 Aged Care beds and a purpose built 20 bed specialised Memory Support Unit. 12 Independent Living Units and 13 Serviced Apartments are also located on-site. Riverview’s Mission is to provide care, services, and accommodation to enrich the lives of older people, and strengthen the Riverland community. Last Tuesday, our residents, staff, and volunteers gathered to watch and celebrate the Melbourne Cup together. The afternoon was filled with fashion, fascinators, bubbles, beers and a delicious afternoon tea prepared by our wonderful kitchen team.

A highlight of the day was our very own special race, where staff competed in heats and then the final to determine the ultimate champion. After an impressive performance in both of her races, Onyi took out the inaugural Riverview Cup!

Our residents had a fantastic time cheering on the staff and soaking up the fun and excitement of the day.

🌸 Pink Ribbon Breakfast at Riverview! 🌸

This morning, our amazing Riverview team came together for a Pink Ribbon Breakfast to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer. 💕

There’s a sea of pink around the home today, from decorations to outfits - as our staff proudly show their support for this important cause. 🎀

This day holds special meaning for us at Riverview, as we have, and have had - employees and residents who are survivors, as well as those we have sadly lost to breast cancer. 💗 Today, we stand together in honour of their strength, their courage, and their memory.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined in, donated, and helped make this morning so special. 🌷

As part of our Show Week celebrations at Riverview, we were delighted to welcome Farmer Darcy's Travelling Farm, who bought a wonderful variety of animals for everyone to enjoy.
Residents, staff, volunteers and family helpers all had a fantastic time holding and patting the animals, sharing plenty of smiles and happy moments together.

Yesterday we had fun playing on our new addition, a pool table that also converts to air hockey and table tennis. Residents, staff & volunteers had fun playing together & cheering each other on, while trying to not to get too competitive!

Job Opportunity: Cleaner – Independent Living Apartments

Are you looking for work that fits within school hours? Riverview Lutheran Rest Home is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team, working in our independent living apartments.

This part-time role runs from 9am- 1pm, Wednesday and Thursdays– making it a perfect fit for mothers, fathers, or caregivers to balance work and family life.

Key Responsibilities:
• General cleaning of apartments (e.g. floors, bathrooms, kitchens, dusting)
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
• Engaging respectfully with residents and staff

About You:
• Previous cleaning experience preferred
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Kind and respectful communication with older people
