Dr. Sandro Michelini delivered a powerful overview of how far the field has come in defining lipedema as a distinct disease. He emphasized that lipedema is not merely a lymphatic issue but a chronic inflammatory fat disorder with hallmark features: disproportionate fat accumulation in the limbs, pain, sensitivity, easy bruising, and orthostatic edema while sparing the hands and feet.

I received a lovely pot plant from a client yesterday as a token of appreciation. It's so thoughtf, l and I'm excited to (try and) keep it living in our garden, and enjoy them longer than a bunch of cut flowers usually last! I love my job and the beautiful clients i get to assist 🌼❤️

Expanding my knowledge about all things lipoedema at the Lipoedema conference for the next few days! Did you know that Lipoedema affects between 11 -39% of the female population? It was only recognised as a disease by the WHO in 2017, so there's still so little research but so important that more and more is being undertaken
