Yesterday, there was a VERY special milestone celebrated at one of Apollo Care's 14 aged care communities. Yackandandah Health Aged Care resident, Edith, turned 110! This birthday makes her the oldest woman in Victoria. Edith enjoyed the morning's festivities surrounded by many of her children, grandchildren and extended family, fellow residents, staff, and local community leaders, Diane Shepheard and Geoff Simmons. Celebrating 100 years of Daph! We were so thrilled we could help her mark this very special occasion, and her amazing life so far, at Resthaven on Quarry recently. Daph and her husband were both founding members of the Manly Sea Eagles back in 1947. We can confirm she is still just as passionate about supporting her team all these years later! Happy birthday to Daph.

Today is Age Care Employee day. I would like to acknowledge and thank each and every person who provides care and services to the elderly and particularly at Resthaven on Quarry. Our staff are our most valuable asset. Every day care and services are provided in a competent and caring manner. Staff present each day and deliver care and services in sometimes less than desirable circumstances, they do this because they care and they know that this makes a difference to the lives of those we care for.

Will always be grateful for the assistance and guidance given to me through the years.

Today is an end of an era and we are so happy to have been on the journey with you.

Today is last day as the proud provider at Resthaven on Quarry. It is marked with celebration, a few tears and a lot of good memories.

Mary Anne and her mum, the Late Joan Patteson became the proud providers of Resthaven back in December 1984 and over the last 41 years they have seen a name change, an expansion to the facility, a global pandemic, a rapidly changing industry, all while ensuring that the residents and their families were provided with the support, care, comfort and kindness during their time at Resthaven.

It is a true testament to Mary Anne & Joan’s dedication and hard work on running a successful long standing facility, and we were proud to be involved in the successful business sale.

We wish her all the best and hopefully she has a few bubbles to celebrate that her legacy of Resthaven will continue on.
